Making Integrated Education Work for Everyone

Science Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCE)

The State Board of Education approved Grade Level Content Expectations at the Board Meeting on December 11, 2007. The content expectations are now official, but MEAP testing will not be aligned to this document until at least the Fall of 2010. Until that time, the test will remain aligned to the revised Michigan Curriculum Framework of 2000.
GLCE Companion Documents

A companion document for the Grade Level Content Expectations is being produced, but will not be ready for distribution until the Fall of 2008. We will post news on its development as it becomes available.
Science High School Content Expectations (HSCE)

The High School Content Expectations in Science were completed and adopted by the State Board in 2006.
HSCE Companion Documents

Each of the four science courses (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Earth Science) defined by the HSCE have been broken down into twelve units of study. The content expectations have been placed in these units and the companion documents provide, vocabulary, language clarification, real world context, instructional examples and ideas for assessment.
